Our flagship blend is our take on the classic Mocha Java blend, using a natural Ethiopian Yirgacheffe blended with a wet-hulled Sumatara Mandheling. The Mocha Java coffee blend has a storied history dating back to the 17th century. It combines coffee from the port city of Mocha in Yemen, known for its chocolate and wine-like flavors, with beans from the Indonesian island of Java, famous for its rich and earthy taste. Traders blended these coffees during voyages, creating a sought-after and balanced cup. Over time, the blend expanded to include beans from other regions, but its origins in the early coffee trade remain significant.
